  1. This site is pretty good in terms of the blog he has added to promote the benefits of content marketing: http://rossbeard.com/

His rates are pretty good too.

  2. That's an interesting one. Very simple but that works perfectly for a writer. I also love what he does with the email signup to see his rate card - you should totally copy that for your new portfolio, Joe! I could not find any work links / samples on his site though (besides his own blog posts) which also the first time I see that for a writer portfolio and not a good move in my opinion.

  3. I still haven't updated my site but have been thinking of doing a one page website after getting some feedback.

What do people think of this long scrolling one page websites with multiple sections?

  4. Only problem with the email field is that you can just click download now and skip entering your email :)

  5. I would think that most website owners would want important information about a writer in a concise way. They do not want to hear the writer's life story. They just want to know what they can do and then see evidence of them doing it. Therefore, a one page format works well for that.

  6. Yes, it could work well I think.

I just saw this site and might 'borrow' the contributor too bit at the top: http://headedabroad.com/

If I can secure some guest posts on some bigger blogs I can add their logos there too.

  7. I've seen a lot of people doing this to provide social proof of their experience. It's a quick and easy way of showing that you work with high traffic websites.
