Hi Kevin, As you know I"m a proud premium member now but I couldn't use any of the premium features such as posting in Review my site or updating signature etc etc. Am I doing something wrong or some bug in the system? Also I initially singed up using FB and later got my login with password. Cheers, Jay
Hi Jay, I believe the software will create a password for you incase you can't connect via Facebook. Update your signature Post in the Marketplace Ask for a review of your website You can also use the private messaging system to message other premium members. Let me know if you are unsure of anything and I will do my best to help you out Kevin
Hi @Kevin Muldoon Yeah the software has created password for me but I couldn't access any of the premium member area. For example Update Signature page shows following error. // Rise Forums - Internet Marketing Forums - Error You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action. // Wondering whether some bug with the forum software Also other forum sections you provided shows me a warning in the bottom as follows (You have insufficient privileges to post here.)
Hold on. I will test your permissions and see what is wrong. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will get this resolved as soon as possible
You should be able to change your signature now. I am just looking at the issue of accessing the other rooms. It's just the way that permissions are set up. I'm doing tests just now to ensure that you can access everything
You should now be able to post in the review my website and premium discussion room. Just sorting the permissions for the marketplace now Thanks for raising this issue with me. With permissions, you sometimes don't know something is wrong until a member advises you of a problem.
You should be able to post in the marketplace now. I still need to sort an issue with the permissions, but I can fix that in the background Thanks for being my lab rat!!
@Kevin Muldoon Also the PM is not working for me. I couldn't find the option where I can post PM to people. Ah.. the rights to update status is also missing in the dashboard.
Sorry to be a pain Jay, can you check again Basically, I had set up the default registered permissions wrong; using the status of "never" instead of "no". This meant that the "allow" permission could not overwrite the "never" setting. It should be fine now (fingers crossed!) Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
Hello @Kevin Muldoon, I just tried my hands on the 'Status Updates' functionality in the home page. I posted an update , but I am not able to see it (I also refreshed the site couple of times and checked again). I am wondering why is that ? is it like someone will not be able to see their own post update? or is the update waiting admin approval or something?
It's showing for me. I wasn't aware that members could not see their own updates, but it could be the case. From what I have read, the status update box is cached for an hour and then refreshes.
